Curious Cats Rescue Incorporated seeks funding to start its Community Prevention Initiative (CPI), a proactive program designed to reduce feline overpopulation and prevent the transmission of infectious disease in Oklahoma City. We have based our donation goal on the idea of fixing 100 cats a year, or 25 cats every quarter.Through CPI’s Sponsor a Fix program, the organization subsidizes spay surgeries and rabies vaccinations for income-qualified households while requiring completion of core vaccinations and disease testing.Statement of Need:Oklahoma City continues to experience high rates of feline overpopulation, contributing to shelter overcrowding and preventable euthanasia. Many pet owners delay sterilization due to financial constraints, resulting in exponential reproduction cycles. By funding sterilization alongside preventative vaccination, CPI addresses the root causes of overpopulation and disease transmission.Program Description:CPI subsidizes $60 per cat to cover:Spay surgeryRabies vaccinationParticipants are required to complete:F-Combo TestFVRCP vaccinationFeLV vaccinationMicrochipping (if not already done)This model ensures responsible pet ownership while promoting community-wide disease control.Predicted Outcomes:100 surgeries funded annually100 rabies vaccinations administered100 FeLV/FIV tests completedEstimated 400+ kittens preventedReduced rescue intake burden

Sponsor an Additional BackpackThanks to the generosity of our community, Curious Cats Rescue has committed to donating 15 fully stocked backpacks to local students through our partnership with the YWCA.But the need doesn't stop at 15.By sponsoring a backpack, you're helping us go beyond our original goal and reach even more children and teens who could benefit from school supplies this year. Every $25 donation funds one additional backpack filled with age-appropriate school supplies for a student.Your sponsorship allows us to increase our impact and provide support to more families than originally planned.
