Direct Action Everywhere

Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) advocates for animal rights through grassroots activism. We will achieve revolutionary social and political change for animals in one generation.

Join us for a special&nbsp;anniversary screening of &ldquo;Speciesism.&rdquo; Together, we&rsquo;ll confront the everyday beliefs that excuse violence against nonhuman animals and our planet 🌎. This event is part of our mission to reject speciesism and win real legal protection for animals, including an Animal Bill of Rights. New Food Friday: Maciel's Plant-Based Butcher & Deli

For the past 20 years, Hnoi and The Vegan Joint have shared delicious comfort plant-based meals with everyone, inspiring countless non-vegans to discover how good vegan food can taste. Hnoi is not just a restaurant owner and operator, she is a vegan activist in our community. She and The Vegan Joint have shown up for our community again and again, donating food to animal rights events for years and stepping up to help when disaster hit Altadena. Join us to celebrate Hnoi, The Vegan Joint, and what comes next for her activism and our community at the DTLA location on Saturday, August 29th from 5pm to 9pm.&nbsp; Tickets are $20, with the option to add more to support the closing costs of their 3 locations. Celebration Buffet @ The Vegan Joint

Join DxE LA for our third Volunteer Day at Love Always Sanctuary! We&#39;ll be sanding and painting the picnic tables after eating a potluck lunch near the potbelly pigs :) The rough schedule is:11am&ndash;12pm: Meet the animals (Lower and upper barnyards) 12pm&ndash;1pm: Community Potluck Lunch 1pm&ndash;4pm: Sand, Paint, &amp; Cleanup Please come for as much or as little as you want. Wear clothes you can get dirty/stained and bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a dish to share. We recommend bringing a shelf-stable option that can be kept/served at outdoor temperature or a dish that can be served right out of the fridge (which we have on site) so think picnic-y food. Our only requirements are that the food is 100% plant-based, and no alcohol or other substances at this event.
