Dear Friend of Delaware Township School,Delaware Township School Partners in Education (DTS PiE) is the parent-teacher organization serving the families, teachers and community of Delaware Township School with membership open to anyone committed to this mission.Thanks to our generous sponsors, we have been able to maintain and grow our programs, which provide students in Pre-K through 8th grade with enhanced opportunities in science, technology, literature, and the arts. Sponsorship donations help support many programs such as Author-in-Residence, school assemblies, after-school Enrichment Programs and Faculty Grant funding, which help to assist with new initiatives. Rather than hosting constant fundraising events, we ask families to contribute a program fee for each student and raise funds by asking you to be an annual sponsor. By asking now, we are able to plan programming for the next year and include you or your organization in advertising at our events. The Program Fee model streamlines fundraising as it results in less volunteer hours needed from you as well as fewer communications. This model has been successful thanks to the support of our annual sponsors – which we in turn would ask you to consider using – please check out PiE’s website (www.dtspie.com) for a list of our current sponsors. By paying the fee at the start of the year, you will not be required to pay for the Enrichment program in the winter and it minimizes other fund‐raising events where we ask for time and money. PiE will track payments and participation fees for enrichment will be waived for those who contribute the program fee. PiE will still organize DTS PiE events requiring additional monetary contribution, such as the Book Fair (October) and the Spring Plant Sale (May). The success of this model really rests on participation and we appreciate your prompt payment so we can make sure we are planning appropriately for the year. Low participation may result in less funding for teacher grants and diminished programming for students.
