Brief History of the Bulkley Valley Collaborative Learning Society: Founded in the spring of 2019, the Bulkley Valley Collaborative Learning Society (BVCLS) is a non-profit organization based in Smithers, dedicated to creating diverse educational opportunities throughout the Bulkley Valley. Our mission is rooted in the belief that through community contribution, we can bridge learners with mentors and create tailored educational experiences. Operating through the EdGE Learning Centre, we offer individual learning programs, provide physical space and equipment for educational initiatives, and actively source grants and resources to fund opportunities and support education across the region.Our Mission:To cultivate connection between learners and mentors, empowering individuals through personalized learning opportunities, and providing resources and space for educational growth.Our Vision:We aim to nurture children into self-aware, socially responsible community members and globally conscious citizens. This is achieved through active engagement in the community, experiential learning in multi-age groups, and curiosity-driven, interest-led exploration.
