The Summer Honors Program is a two-week accelerated summer school sponsored by Educational Service Unit #11 in Holdrege, Nebraska. It has been a fixture in the lives of gifted and talented youth in south-central Nebraska for 46 years and is designed to help rural Nebraska high school students study advanced subject matter with instructors who can take them beyond most rural high school curricula.Students are selected for the program after being nominated by their high school teachers. The finalists are selected on the basis of performance on an exam or work samples. Instructors who come from all over the U.S. and beyond for the program are selected on the basis of the caliber of the program they can provide and the type of work they have done within the field of their expertise.&nbsp;Sponsorships will help cover the overall costs of the program.
