Strawberries & Champagne at the Lake 2026

Join the Elmer Iseler Singers, conductor Lydia Adams and pianist Shawn Grenke for a concert in celebration of the earth. This program, presenting works by Ēriks E&scaron;envalds, Caroline Shaw, R. Murray Schafer, Frank Ticheli, Edward Enman, Morten Lauridsen, John Rutter and Srul Irving Glick, will also feature a special tribute to the late&nbsp;Canadian composer, Norma Beecroft, with a performance of her masterwork: The Living Flame of Love, and world premiere performances&nbsp;by Canadian composers Brad Barnham and Carmine Lappano.

A Bouquet of Voices! EIS 46th Toronto Concert Series

Featuring the North American premiere of Norbert Palej’s new choral work Missa Super Terminos with special guests, the MacMillan Singers, directed by Dr. Jamie Hillman. A celebration of extraordinary choral works by women Life, love, passion, the call for peace in the world and pleas for the earth all merge in this concert of extraordinary works by extraordinary composers.&nbsp; Experience the heart of the drum in Sherryl Sewepagham&rsquo;s Nitohtamok Ask&icirc;y (Listen to the Land), a call to take care of the land. Feel the depth of emotion in works by Canadian composers, including Stephanie Martin, Marie-Claire Saindon and Christine Donkin, alongside the exuberant joyful sounds of Eleanor Daley and Jean Couthard.&nbsp; Hear the sharp crackle of ice echoing across the Subarctic in genre-jumping composer Carmen Braden&rsquo;s Lake Skin and experience the brilliant and moving writing of emerging Korean/Canadian composer Minjoo Kim. Hear a rare performance of Ruth Watson Henderson&rsquo;s masterpiece, Missa Brevis&nbsp;and feel the searing beauty of Ukrainian composer Hanna Havrylets&rsquo; Prayer. It is all here.
