Essex Youth Build empowers children aged 8-15 with SEND through hands-on construction activities, fostering confidence, social skills, and practical knowledge in a safe, supportive environment during school holidays.

Essex Youth Build Holiday Trades Club &ndash; May Sessions At Essex Youth Build, we provide a safe, supportive and engaging environment where children can learn practical skills, build confidence and have fun during the school holidays. Our Holiday Trades Club is designed for children aged 8&ndash;15 with SEND, offering hands-on activities in a calm, structured workshop setting. Please note, Essex Youth Build is a real construction workshop with real tools and equipment. For this reason, sessions are most suitable for children and young people with low to moderate support needs. Session Times May sessions will run on Tuesday and Wednesday, with two sessions per day:Morning Session: 10:00am &ndash; 12:00pm age group: 8&ndash;11 yearsAfternoon Session: 12:30pm &ndash; 2:30pm age group: 12&ndash;15 yearsThere are 12 places available per session. Children may also book to stay for the full day, with the half-hour break between sessions used as lunchtime. Where sibling groups wish to attend together, we will do our best to accommodate this. Two sessions will need to be booked for a whole day visit. Short Breaks Information The Holiday Trades Club is offered through Essex County Council Short Breaks. Each child should have a Short Breaks Passport number.If you do not have one, you can sign up here:https://shortbreaks.essex.gov.uk/An information form about your child&rsquo;s support needs will be emailed to you and must be completed and returned before your place is confirmed. Construction Holiday Club - May Half Term 2026

At Essex Youth Build, we provide a safe, supportive and engaging environment where children can learn practical skills, build confidence and have fun during the school holidays. Our Holiday Trades Club is specially designed for children aged 8&ndash;11 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), offering hands-on activities in a calm, structured setting.
