Feed The City is a registered charity that partners with community food banks across Ottawa to deliver emergency food directly to neighbours who cannot physically access their local food bank because of mobility, health, disability, or transportation barriers.As Ottawa's only centralized emergency food home delivery service, Feed The City fills the critical final step between community food banks and the people they serve. Our volunteer drivers collect emergency food from partner food banks and deliver it directly to the homes of seniors, people living with disabilities, caregivers, newcomers, and others facing barriers to food access.For many recipients, these deliveries are more than a convenience. They are the only safe and reliable way to access emergency food. By removing the transportation and mobility barriers that prevent people from reaching a food bank, Feed The City helps vulnerable community members remain safely in their homes while receiving the support they need.Your donation helps recruit and support volunteers, coordinate deliveries, and remove barriers to emergency food access across Ottawa.
