Felicia Children's Center Foundation

We are a preK/kindergarten for impoverished children. We use Montessori principles. Our goal is to provide a safe, warm, nurturing environment where kids can explore their creativity, solve problems independently, and make friends.

$5 Fridays: Help Cover FCCF’s Monthly Food Costs

Become an Integral Part of Supporting Our Monthly EffortsEach month, FCCF pays our cook/custodian, operations team, and our teachers' salaries--a total of 5 staff members. We purchase groceries to feed up to 30 children two healthy meals per day. In addition, we have established a monthly birthday party with a small cake, and at the holidays (so far Christmas and Easter), we have helped provide a special meal to be sent home with our students and shared with their families. The monthly cost of food is $500, or $6,000 per year.The cost per child $18 per month or $214 per year.Other approximate costs: Sneakers $16 pairUniforms $40 (pants or jumper, shirt, sweater)Medical checkup: $60 per child School supplies: $10 per child, estimated per yearAdding a little buffer for miscellaneous and exchange rates, we spend about $350 per child (or less) per year. Each month, we send over $1000 to cover food and salaries. At the same time, we are continuously tackling aggressive capital improvement goals that require much bigger $. We have been fortunate to complete many of these large projects with your generous donations. We hope that you will consider becoming a monthly donor. A steady flow of funds ensures that we can meet our basic costs securely each month while improving our facilities.
