SURGERY FOR REINA! Reina was rescued from western NC several months ago and has quickly become everyone's favorite gal. After battling repeated infections in the same mammary gland, further testing determined that Reina now needs a mastectomy to finally put this behind her. We're hoping to raise $3,000, or close to it, to help cover the cost of Reina's surgery. Even with our nonprofit discount, it is a significant expense for our newer rescue, but we won't let that stop us from helping Reina. This precious pup deserves it. Every dollar helps bring this incredible girl one step closer to the surgery that she needs.

HELP REINA

Peaches is a young dog with a serious heart condition that can be treated, not ignored. Peach went to the vet and not only is she heartworm positive, but has an enlarged heart and a significant heart murmur. Peach has completed a chest x-ray, and will be undergoing an echocardiogram on 8/18 to determine the damage to her heart and the proper course of treatment. First Mate has spent $359 on vetting so far, and the echocardiogram alone is $490.00. Your gift goes directly toward her diagnostics, medication, and specialized veterinary care so she can move forward in her treatment. At First Mate Dog Rescue, we step in for dogs with nowhere else to turn. By donating, you help cover Peaches’ medical bills today and keep our small rescue ready for the next dog who needs urgent care. ❤️
