The Florida Writers Foundation Inc. promotes literacy across Florida by supporting writers and fostering reading and writing opportunities in underserved communities through events like the Florida Writers Book Fair.

Reading is a fundamental skill and we believe that solid English literacy skills only make Florida, it&#39;s communities and it&#39;s residents stronger! Stronger communities build a kinder, more generous, and more prosperous nation! The Mission of Florida Writers Foundation:To inspire a love of reading and writing by funding nonprofit organizations that transform literacy throughout Florida. Your gift supports literacy across Florida. You help adults build confidence with English, students see their writing in print, and children take home books they can call their own. Won&#39;t you please consider an ongoing monthly donation to help us distribute grants to the grassroots non-profits that are working in underserved communities around our state. As federal and state funds continue to dwindle, we&#39;re here to stand in the gap if possible. YOUR donations will make it possible! Donations fund tutoring with partners like Manatee Literacy Council, the High School Anthology, and programs such as Get Lit! and &ldquo;Tail Waggin&rsquo; Tutors&rdquo; in schools and libraries who don&#39;t otherwise have the resources to run these programs. Give today to strengthen reading and writing for students, families, and teachers in our communities.
