Remembering Ryan Cutter
The Ford Sayre community is heartbroken by the loss of Ryan Cutter, who died September 20, in a helicopter crash while fighting the Dome Fire in Yosemite National Park.Ryan grew up in the Upper Valley with skiing and the mountains at the center of his life. The son of Donny and Doreen Cutter, longtime members of the Upper Valley ski community, Ryan spent countless days at the Dartmouth Skiway and Oak Hill, becoming an accomplished alpine racer and ski jumper with Ford Sayre. That love of the mountains and adventure never left him. Ryan eventually headed west and made his home in Park City, Utah, where he continued skiing and chasing adventure and became an accomplished helicopter pilot. For more than a decade, he fought wildfires from the air across the West, protecting people, communities and the wild places he loved. No matter how far life took him from the Upper Valley, Ryan stayed connected to his roots. He remained close with lifelong friends and continued to support Ford Sayre and proudly represent the club from afar. Our hearts are with his wife, Nina, his parents, Donny and Doreen, and the many family members, friends and communities who loved him.Ryan lived an incredible life, and we are so grateful he was part of ours. For those who would like to honor Ryan through a donation to Ford Sayre, we sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness. For those who would like to support Nina and Ryan's family, please go here:gofund.me/96aa02a99
