Foundation For Appalachian Ohio

The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio empowers communities by fostering economic growth, enhancing education, and promoting cultural heritage. They connect donors with local initiatives to improve the quality of life in Appalachian Ohio.

Join us to celebrate Morgan Community Fund grantees and the people working every day to grow opportunity in Appalachian Ohio. This gathering recognizes local partners whose projects reflect steady commitment to neighbors, shared resources, and the place we call home. Light refreshments and soft drinks will be provided, and alcohol will be available for purchase by the venue, The Old Bridge Brewing Co. By attending, you help honor the grants that support families, students, and communities across Morgan County—from education and health to conservation and local creativity. Together, we’re encouraging philanthropy that starts here and stays here.

For the 7th year in a row, the Charleston Memorial Golf Outing will support a male and female athlete from Meadowbrook High School in their higher education pursuits. This year we are happy to host the event at a new location, the Hickory Hills Golf Club! Many thanks to our friend, and club member Mike Dean. Lunch and silent auction will start at 11:30 am followed by a sequential tee off at 1:30 pm. Inaugurated in 2019 as the Flo Charleston Memorial Golf Outing, this event seeks to honor the legacy of the Charleston family by supporting graduating seniors in their hometown of Byesville, OH. The event was rechristened the Charleston Memorial outing to honor Craig in 2020 and most recently, Deb Charleston in 2023. The Charleston's were strong supporters of their community and you can help that legacy live on!
