This August, a relay team will enter the Fraser River and begin an extraordinary 1,375-kilometre swim from the Rocky Mountain headwaters to the Salish Sea. It will be cold. It will be difficult. It will be beautiful. And it will carry a clear purpose: to help build public support for protecting 30% of the Fraser Rivershed by 2030.  This is more than an endurance challenge. It is an adventure of a lifetime in service of one of the most important river systems in the world. The Fraser sustains salmon, wildlife, communities, cultures, and ways of life across British Columbia. Its future matters to all of us. A journey this bold is meant to move people. To draw attention. To spark conversation.
