Friends Of Graeme Park

Graeme Park educates the public about the Georgian architecture of the Keith House and its 18th century inhabitants. The Friends of Graeme Park, a non-profit, supports and assists the PHMC by conducting the daily operations of the site.

As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration and the men and women who contributed to our founding, come for an afternoon tea with Betsy Ross! Join presenter Erin Agnew as she gives us a glimpse into the life of Betsy Ross as she made our first flag (or did she?). After the presentation enjoy a three-course afternoon tea.$35/person; $30/Members and early registrants (thru 7/26)

Rentals are down this year, and the Friends of Graeme Park need a boost to get through the next few months until the season picks up again in the fall. For just $10 ($5 for kids 5-10 years old) you get spaghetti with your choice of meatballs, sausage, or just plain red sauce, salad, garlic bread, non-alcoholic beverages, and dessert - What a bargain! Plus you don&#39;t need to cook! Dine-in or take-out. There will also be a cash bar with wine and beer for those dining in and various raffle baskets.

Treat Mom to a Mother&rsquo;s Day breakfast in the large event tent at Graeme Park! After your meal, enjoy a guided tour of the Keith House. Check-ins at 10 am and 10:30 am. Please note: high chairs and booster seats are NOT available, but please reserve a seat for any child requiring a chair. If your extended family is reserving through multiple parties, please let us know so we can seat you all together. $45 adults/teens (13+); $40 Members &amp; early registrants (thru 4/19); $14 kids (6-12); 5 and under free

Mother's Day Breakfast

Join us and our speakers from the Kennett Underground Railroad Center to learn about abolitionists like Thomas Garrett, Isaac and Dinah Mendenhall, John and Hannah Cox, and Dr. Bartholomew Fussell &mdash; all of whom risked much for the cause of freedom. Their narratives feature accounts of freedom seekers who were often pursued by slave catchers, incidents of kidnapping, and extraordinary acts of bravery undertaken by those committed to securing their freedom. Central to these efforts was the Progressive Friends Meeting, located just outside the gated entrance to Longwood Gardens, which brought together influential figures such as Sojourner Truth, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, and many others. KURC is a not-for-profit, all volunteer organization located in Kennett Square, PA. Celebrating its 28th year, the organization is dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories of local and regional abolitionists, Underground Railroad agents, and freedom-seekers.
