FWPC Community Development Center empowers local students by providing essential back-to-school support through initiatives like Shoes4School, ensuring every child has the confidence and dignity to succeed with new footwear and resources.

About Shoes4School Shoes4School began in 2017, inspired by Bishop Quincy D. Griffin Sr.&#39;s vision of ensuring that every child starts the school year with confidence, dignity, and the support they need to succeed. What began as a community effort to provide new shoes to students in need has grown into one of the region&#39;s largest back-to-school outreach initiatives. Through the support of volunteers, sponsors, churches, businesses, and community partners, Shoes4School has provided more than 20,000 pairs of new shoes to children throughout Tallahassee, Leon County, and surrounding communities since its inception. We believe that no child should experience embarrassment, discomfort, or barriers to learning because of inadequate footwear. A new pair of shoes can help a student feel confident, prepared, and ready to begin the school year on the right foot. Now in its ninth year, Shoes4School continues its mission of investing in local students and strengthening families by providing essential back-to-school support to children throughout the Big Bend region. Together, we are making a difference&mdash;one pair of shoes at a time.
