The American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Program is one of our most recognizable and long-running fundraising and remembrance efforts. It combines veteran support, memorial traditions, and community service.The red remembrance poppy comes from the World War I poem “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae. The flower became an international symbol honoring military personnel who died in service.
