The Gwinnett Quilters' Guild fosters a community of quilting enthusiasts, promoting the art of quilting through education, workshops, and shared projects. They aim to inspire creativity and preserve quilting traditions while supporting local charities.

Free Motion Quilting is a beautiful and fun way to quilt your own projects! Learn the foundational skills during this 3-hour class. You will learn: how to set up your machine, adjusting the machine tension, understanding how to create an ergonomic setup, and then learn and practice your first four free-motion quilting motifs! It will be held in the Youth Center on the second floor Supply list (things to bring with you):<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Sewing Machine</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Thread (50 wt cotton recommended)</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">fresh sewing machine needle</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">FMQ foot or ruler foot</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Quilting gloves (recommended)</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">3-4 fat quarter-sized practice sandwiches</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">pen &amp; paper</li></ul>Optional Kit $35 (paid to HollyAnne on the day of workshop):* 4 sawtooth star placemat with backing &amp; batting*1 FQ size practice sandwich

Exotic Doodle Blooms Hibiscus Flower Fiber arts are my passion. I majored in art at Queens University in Charlotte, NC, and have not slowed down since. I have been a quilt designer, hosted art retreats, traveled to shops all over the country to teach, and am a Bernina Ambassador. I love sharing this passion I have for quilting, stitching and creating with everyone.
