Halifax Theatre for Young People empowers youth through engaging theatre experiences, fostering creativity and confidence while promoting local art. They support new projects that inspire and connect young artists with their community.

Welcome to our online fundraising auction. 📣 Each item up for bid has been generously donated by our supporters, partners, and sponsors, with all proceeds directly funding new local art for young people. By participating in our auction, you&#39;re not just acquiring remarkable items; you&#39;re also making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. The two projects being supported are: &nbsp;Earth Tour - the musical!Written by five local 2SLGBTQIA+ writers and composers, Earth Tour: is a fast paced, interactive show telling the story of intergalactic music group, Stardust Alliance, who are here on earth to share their message of acceptance, self-love and community-empowerment. When they arrive for their debut concert, they encounter &quot;The Cringe Effect,&quot; a mysterious power making earth-dwellers afraid to be themselves. By working with the audience, will the group be able to share their message and finish their performance?&nbsp; Next Stage VoicesCreated in collaboration with Charles Taylor Theatre &amp; Media Arts, we have commissioned four young Black Nova Scotian writers to write short plays that will become our next major production. At the same time we are offering a series of workshops in three historic Black NS communities.
