Hampton Delta Foundation Incorporated

Hampton Delta Foundation empowers youth through education, mentorship, and community engagement, fostering leadership and personal growth to create a brighter future for underserved communities.

The Hampton Delta Foundation, Inc. was established in 1999, and in 2020 our vision to purchase a building became a reality with the purchase of our cherished "Jewel" at 1999 W. Pembroke Avenue. Today, we continue that legacy through our Polishing Our Jewel – Refined campaign, dedicated to preserving and maintaining the community home that serves as the heart of our mission. Your support helps ensure this treasured space remains a place for programs, partnerships, and service throughout the year. Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful difference. Give today to help preserve our Jewel and create lasting, sustainable impact in our community.

Polishing our Jewel Refined

The inaugural Red and White Cotillion was held in 2005 and became the Foundation’s signature event. Since its beginning the Foundation has introduced more than 200 young women to society through the program and awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships. Each year the debutantes attend a variety of workshops that have included self-esteem and self-care, financial planning, etiquette, college life, and career planning. Additionally, they have completed community service activities and hosted a Mother-Daughter tea.Board Members along with the Debutantes raise money that goes towards scholarships. The debutante participants must be a junior or senior in one of the Hampton Roads high schools.
