Guiado por la visi&oacute;n del Programa de Liderazgo Juvenil (Youth Fellowship Program), este evento tiene como prop&oacute;sito elevar y apoyar a la juventud de Dena al crear un espacio donde sus voces, creatividad y talentos puedan ser vistos y escuchados. A trav&eacute;s del Programa de Liderazgo Juvenil, estamos comprometidos a empoderar a los j&oacute;venes afectados por los incendios para que tomen un papel activo en la construcci&oacute;n y fortalecimiento de su comunidad. Esta noche de micr&oacute;fono abierto y karaoke da vida a esa visi&oacute;n al brindar un espacio acogedor donde j&oacute;venes y miembros de la comunidad puedan expresarse, compartir sus historias, celebrar su creatividad y crear conexiones a trav&eacute;s de la m&uacute;sica y las presentaciones. Este evento es una oportunidad para reunirnos, apoyarnos mutuamente y destacar las voces y talentos que hacen fuerte a nuestra comunidad.

Community Open Mic Night - Presented by the Harambee Youth Relief Fellowship

Led by the vision of the Youth Fellowship Program, this event is rooted in uplifting Dena youth by creating a space where their voices, creativity, and talents can be seen and heard. Through the Youth Fellowship Program, we are committed to empowering young people impacted by the fires to take an active role in shaping their community. This open mic and karaoke night brings that vision to life by providing a welcoming space for youth and community members to express themselves, share their stories, celebrate their creativity, and build connections through music and performance. This event is an opportunity to come together, support one another, and highlight the voices and talents that make our community strong.

Harambee Summer Academy 2026

Guiado por la visi&oacute;n del Programa de Becas para J&oacute;venes (Youth Fellowship Program), este evento se basa en el objetivo de elevar a la juventud de Dena al crear un espacio donde sus voces, creatividad y liderazgo puedan ser vistos y escuchados. A trav&eacute;s del Programa de Becas para J&oacute;venes, nos comprometemos a empoderar a las personas j&oacute;venes afectadas por los incendios para que desempe&ntilde;en un papel activo en la reconstrucci&oacute;n de su comunidad. Este evento comunitario (block party) da vida a esa visi&oacute;n al unir a la comunidad, apoyar a las familias afectadas por los incendios y conectar a los residentes con negocios locales y recursos esenciales.

This block party brings that vision to life by uniting the community, supporting fire-impacted families, and connecting residents with local businesses and essential resources.

Harambee Girls Rock is a one-day empowerment experience where girls can explore confidence, creativity, movement, and self-love in a joyful and supportive environment. Girls will rotate through&nbsp;fun, hands-on sessions throughout the day: 💄 Beauty &amp; Self Love &ndash; Build confidence and learn positive self-care and affirmations.🍫 Treat Making &ndash; Create a delicious sweet treat to enjoy.💃🏽 Dance &amp; Movement &ndash; Get moving, build confidence, and have fun through dance.🎨 Creativity Lounge &ndash; Relax, create, and express yourself through art and crafts. Each participant will receive: 👜 A Harambee Girls Rock tote bag✨ Interactive workshop experiences🌮 Lunch provided (tacos!)🎁 Special take-home gifts This event is designed to help girls connect, express themselves, try new things, and celebrate who they are. Spots are limited, so early registration is encouraged. We can&#39;t wait to spend the day with your young ladies, because girls shine brighter together! ✨

The Harambee BEE Program provides academic enrichment to Pasadena youth and its surrounding communities. The BEE Program serves scholars ages 6-17, and is dedicated to increasing academic and holistic success through rigorous tutoring and accountability.&nbsp; Monthly Cost (2 Sessions per Week)$50/month per child; scholarships may be available.
