What started as a small handful of vendors under the Haymaker overpass during the summer months has grown to a vibrant, year-round, producer-only market with upwards of fifty vendors. Over the last 30 years, Haymaker has helped foster meaningful relationships between consumers and the farmers, makers, and bakers behind their food. A beacon for local agriculture in Portage County, we have provided a supportive space for many small businesses to gain their footing and grow.On a shoestring budget, we’ve worked hard to grow the market while developing educational programming, local food access programs, and a welcoming space for everyone who cares about local food access.Yes, our market absolutely has some of the finest local products grown, baked, and made by incredibly hard-working, talented vendors. But the thing that truly makes Haymaker special is you – our local food community. For thirty years, Haymaker Farmers’ Market has been a place for people to connect. Lifelong friendships, a true understanding of where our food comes from, and equitable access to healthy, local food – these are the things of which we can all be proud.
