Support I Am Oakland County!
We are Oakland County residents who believe local governance should answer to the people it serves, not act to protect its own power.“I Am Oakland County” is a community-led, non-partisan organizing effort bringing neighbors together to advocate for transparency, accountability, and funding priorities that reflect our values. We’re asking hard questions about decisions like the county’s contract with Flock Safety and its autonomous drone deployment — and we’re building the collective voice needed to be heard. We are now taking action.Oakland County Board Chair Dave Woodward approved the Flock Safety drone resolution — known as “Project Prove It” — without allowing concerned citizens to give public comment before the vote. That’s not how democracy is supposed to work. Our recall petition language was officially approved by the Oakland County Election Board, and Dave Woodward has filed an appeal with the 6th Circuit Court. We are moving forward because our work to amplify the voices of Oakland County residents will continue regardless of the results of this appeal.Your donation supports the outreach, education and organizing work needed to keep Oakland County residents informed about our local elected officials.
