IITK Foundation is organized to fund and promote overall betterment of students, faculty and alumni body of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Examples of fundraising include, but not limited to, faculty chair funds, student scholarships, infrastructure construction, equipment procurement for research laboratories and hostel improvement. In addition, the Foundation assists in improving the IIT-Kanpur brand through faculty recruitment and by facilitating research through academia-corporate relationships. The Foundation leads various initiatives to strengthen and grow the global network of IIT-Kanpur alumni. The objective of these initiatives is to bring IIT-Kanpur faculty members, alumni and industry leaders together in assisting IIT-Kanpur realize its vision of attaining leadership among the top global education and research institutions.
