Iowa Park Optimist Club (IPOC)

LXCL:The Iowa Park Optimist Club strengthens youth, families, and community through sports, inclusive programs, family events, service, leadership, and volunteer-driven opportunities. We create safe, positive spaces where young people can build confidence, character, skills, friendships, and a sense of belonging while bringing our community together to serve and grow.

Welcome to the 2026–2027 Iowa Park Optimist Club Basketball Season! When the season is over, the jerseys are put away, and the gym has gone quiet, children may forget the scores, but they remember who believed in them. At Iowa Park Optimist Club, basketball is about building confidence, learning teamwork, making friends, trying new things, and giving kids a place where they are encouraged to grow. A place where every child knows they belong. Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the very first time or coming back for another season, we want them to know there is a place for them here. Our goal is simple: create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment where kids can learn the game, challenge themselves, have fun, and be proud of how far they’ve come. Completed registration and payment reserve your athlete’s place for the upcoming season. We’re grateful you have chosen IPOC Basketball for your family, and we can’t wait to see what this season brings. Practice & Game Schedules Practice and game schedules will be shared once teams have been formed and the season schedule is finalized. We know families are juggling school, work, activities, dinner, bedtimes, and approximately seventeen other things at once, so we’ll get those details to you as soon as everything is ready. 7th & 8th Grade School-Team Refund We know some of our older athletes are also working toward a spot on their middle school basketball team. If a registered 7th- or 8th-grade athlete is selected for an official middle school basketball team, a refund may be requested within seven calendar days of the official roster announcement. If a uniform has already been ordered or other nonrefundable expenses have already been incurred, those costs may be deducted from the refund. Life is Harder Without You IPOC Basketball is powered by volunteers, and a little help from each team goes a long way toward keeping game nights running smoothly. For this season, our goal is for each team to help cover four volunteer shifts: two admissions shifts and two concessions shifts. We also know every family’s schedule, circumstances, and ability to volunteer look different. Please help when and where you can. Whether you’re able to take a shift, lend a hand once in a while, or simply cheer loudly from the stands, you’re still an important part of our IPOC family. Most importantly, thank you for trusting us with a small piece of your child’s story. Here’s to another season of Bringing Out the Best in Our Youth.

The 2031 Takeover: Neon Nightmare

Lights, Legends & Lace is more than a dance. It’s one winter night set aside for fathers, father figures, and daughters to slow down, dress up, and make a memory together. Step into a Winter Wonderland filled with twinkling lights, music, dancing, photos, dinner, refreshments, and little moments that may mean more than anyone realizes at the time. For her, it’s a night to get dressed up, take his hand, and feel like the most important girl in the room. For him, it’s a chance to look at the little girl beside him and realize just how quickly she’s growing up. Because someday, the dress will be packed away. The music will have ended. She may not remember every song they danced to or what they ate for dinner, but she’ll remember who showed up, who danced with her, and how he made her feel. Every ticket also supports the Iowa Park Optimist Club and our mission to bring out the best in local youth through positive programs, activities, and opportunities. So come dressed to shine, step into the snow-kissed magic, and make the kind of memory that stays warm long after winter is gone. One magical night. One unforgettable dance. A memory they’ll carry for years.
