The Jacobsburg Historical Society preserves and promotes the rich history of Jacobsburg and Bushkill Township through educational programs, historic tours, and community engagement, fostering appreciation for local heritage and open spaces.

Jacobsburg Historical Society fundraising event.&nbsp;It&#39;s an event like no other, and we want you to be there!&nbsp;Join Jacobsburg Historical Society and the Bushkill Township Board of Supervisors for a guided tour of the township. The tour explores historic sites and venues throughout the township and visits the many acres of land preserved under the Township Open Space Program.&nbsp; The Bushkill Township Heritage Committee will be exhibiting photo display boards in the Bushkill Township Community room from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Jacobsburg Historical Society is proud to present an interview with General George Washington during the events of 1776.&nbsp; With the ink of the Declaration of Independence still drying in Philadelphia, General Washington said that the time had come to &quot;Conquer or Die&rdquo; as he and the Continental Army prepare to go to war with Great Britain, in the City of New York.

We invite you to 1876 as the United States celebrates 100 years at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, opened by President Ulysses S Grant. President Grant will speak on the accomplishments of our nation and the pioneer spirit that allowed us to grow and prosper. The pride in being American will be displayed with hopes to inspire more such success as we reflect on America&rsquo;s 250th Anniversary!&nbsp;
