Torah for Everyone 2026-2027
Torah for EveryoneMaking Torah Meaningful to YouWednesdays • Twice a Month • Online • 7:00-9:00 pm PTExplore Jewish texts. Ask questions. Share your perspective. It is not in heaven, that you should say, “Who among us can go up to the heavens and get it for us and impart it to us, that we may observe it?... No, the word is very close to you, in your mouth and in your heart, to observe it.”- Deuteronomy 30:12, 14Find modern meaning in an ancient text. Torah for Everyone is exactly what it sounds like: Torah for everyone, believer and skeptic, Jew and non-Jew, modern and traditional.Together, we read Jewish texts, explore what they might mean for our lives, and share our reflections and responses. There are no experts, only learners and companions on a journey through the text. No Hebrew or previous Jewish knowledge is required. Rabbi Ruth Adar prepares materials, leads the group, and guides the conversation as a moderator and resource.Contact Rabbi Ruth Adar to learn more: ruthadar@gmail.comPayment Policy: We offer registration options:1. What I found was the opposite of what I expected: an open, casual conversation where discussion and debate were encouraged. I came away feeling more empowered and having a deeper understanding of my Jewish background.” - Patti
