Alan Espinoza (July 31, 1964 - August 2, 2024) was an extraordinary performer with a passion for the arts. In his memory, Juniper Circle Productions will curate a series of solo performer projects (plays, musicals, dance, and multimedia) that amplify marginalized voices and showcase under-represented stories. 2026 Commissioned Artists:• Rose Costello – exploring motherhood, devotion, and endurance through movement-based storytelling.• Tanya Blacklight – weaving music and ceremony into a site-specific performance that calls forth the river as witness to memory and survival.• Diane Sylvain – whose words and paintings serve as a springboard for rural and urban artists to create original pieces inspired by place and identity.

Marty Durlin: A New Musical In Development
Playwright, composer, and lyricist Marty Durlin develops a new project centered on the lives of social activist women, with a full production anticipated in 2027. Durlin has spent decades crafting and sharing original musical theatre in the North Fork Valley, Boulder, and Moab. Her process unfolds through writing sessions, workshops, and staged readings – building the musical from the ground up.Marty Durlin grew up in Delta, Colorado and attended Colorado Women's College and Wesleyan University. She has been writing songs and plays since her childhood, recruiting family and friends as performers. A reporter and editor in both print and radio, she also spent 30 years managing public radio stations.All donations are tax deductible and go toward artist and musician honorariums, rehearsal space rentals, script and music preparation, and facilitating community workshop/talk-backs.Juniper Circle Productions is designated as a 501(c)(3). Our mission is to nurture, illuminate, and build bridges between the urban + rural creative communities through immersive residencies and productions, providing a circle of support where diverse artists can create, exchange, and present groundbreaking new work.
