Kansas Youth Pickleball

Kansas Youth Pickleball promotes youth engagement through pickleball, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship among high school students. We organize tournaments and events to create a fun, competitive environment that encourages active lifestyles and community involvement.

Join the Kansas Youth Pickleball Open 🏓 and spend a day on the court building skills, confidence, and new friendships. Players of all experience levels are welcome. Ages 8-14 By registering, you support our mission to help youth stay active, connected, and encouraged through pickleball. Sign up, bring your energy, and enjoy a fun, supportive environment where teamwork and good sportsmanship come first. 🎉 Each youth participant receives their very own KYP Swag Bag that includes; KYP Open t-shirt, cooling towel, CORE premium outdoor pickleball, and your very own Agassi JOOLA paddle! Bring your own equipment or borrow ours! Format:A round robin pickleball tournament with rotating partners:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Players sign up as individuals, not fixed teams</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Before each round, partners are re-paired so everyone plays with and against different people throughout the event</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Each round is one game to 11, win by 2</li></ul>Scoring<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Instead of tracking wins/losses as a team, each player accumulates individual points equal to the points their team scored in each round</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Example: if you and your rotating partner win a game 11-7, you personally earn 11 points for that round (not just a &ldquo;win&rdquo;)</li></ul>Standings<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">After all rounds are played, individual point totals are summed across the whole tournament</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">The player with the highest cumulative score wins overall &mdash; no single partner or single game determines the outcome</li></ul>
