Khair Global Initiative empowers underserved communities in Kashmir and Northern Pakistan by providing access to healthcare, clean water, and sustainable opportunities, ensuring dignity and self-reliance for all, regardless of background.

Help support Khair Global Initiative&#39;s campaign to rebuild an Oncology Department in Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. &nbsp;There has been up to a 25-fold increase in the number of cancer cases in this region. &nbsp;Unfortunately, there is no infrastructure in place to help these patients. &nbsp;The current facility is dilapidated, and in disrepair. &nbsp;Patient care areas are rudimentary; there is not even a restroom for patients receiving treatment or a proper area to prepare their chemo. &nbsp;If patients have complications, they need to be admitted to a general medical inpatient ward, where healthcare providers are not aware of the special needs of cancer patients, and place them next to others with serious communicable infections like TB. Frequently, these patients are required to share a single hospital bed with each other. Currently, the unit serves 8-10 patients daily. With our improvements, this facility will be able to serve up to 30 patients a day, preventing crucial delays in treatment. &nbsp;This center will serve five districts and over 1.5 million patients. &nbsp;Every day, patients and their families travel long distances seeking treatment. &nbsp;Many have already exhausted their savings, sold livestock, land, jewelry or other valuables, and turned to relatives and friends for financial support just to afford cancer care. The burden of a cancer diagnosis extends far beyond the illness itself. &nbsp;Everyone undergoing chemotherapy deserves dignity and compassionate care close to home. Rebuild a Cancer Treatment Center in Northern Pakistan

Your sponsorship provides direct medical care and stability for Imrana.Imrana is a 15 year old girl who was diagnosed with an aggressive bone cancer that required an above knee amputation of her right leg. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, and may eventually need a leg prosthetic. Along with her ongoing care, and eventual prosthetic training, support for her education is required. She lives with her eight siblings. Her father provides for his family as a day laborer whenever he can find opportunities. His monthly income is around $90.

Your gift to Sponsor Farhan&#39;s Care provides direct access to medical treatment, follow‑up, and essential support he cannot afford alone.&nbsp;Farhan is a 16-year-old boy who lives in a small mountain village several hours outside of Skardu with his four sisters and younger brother. His father is a farm hand and works seasonally and his mother teaches the Quran. Their monthly household income is less than $200. &nbsp;Farhan suffered a stroke when he was eight years old and then again when he was 15 because of a severe nutritional deficiency that raised his Homocysteine levels. He suffers from a severe speech impediment, has lost the ability to use his dominant hand, struggles with his gait and has prominent memory loss. He requires ongoing speech, physical and occupational therapy along with support in receiving his medications and medical devices. Although, he attended grade nine before his second stroke, he will now require special education and eventually job training to be able to live his fullest independent life. He is an avid cricket and soccer fan, and enjoyed playing sports before his illness.
