You can help children and families affected by cancer by planning & hosting a Can Do for Kids community fundraiser.What's a Can Do for Kids you might ask? It's an event or initiative organized by someone like YOU or your company that raises money for Kids Cancer Care. The initiative can be as big or as small as you'd like. You decide.We are so grateful to live in a community, a country, a world that cares. Every day, at Kids Cancer Care, we see people, families and companies make the decision to give back to help children and families affected by cancer. You can do pretty much anything to fundraise for Kids Cancer Care and we'll be there to support you every step of the way!Opportunities for fundraising are endless! Here are a few ideas that can easily be done virtually or physically distanced:1. Bottle Drive. Collect your own cans and bottles, empties from your neighbourhood, co-workers, family members, etc. Bring the empties to Trail Bottle Depot and let them know you would like the donation to go to Kids Cancer Care. As easy as that!2. ‘A-Thons’. Whether it’s a walk-a-thon, bike-a-thon, skate-a-thon, marathon or dance-a-thon, a-thons are a great way to raise awareness and money for a great cause.3. Ready to Rock. Cut, colour or shave your lid for a kid with cancer. You can do a Rock Your Locks from the comfort of your own home, or virtually while challenging your co-workers to donate or participate!
