Kids Coalition Against Hunger

Kids Coalition Against Hunger combats food insecurity by mobilizing volunteers to pack meals for local food banks and global disaster relief. They aim to provide nutritious food to those in need, fostering community engagement and support.

On May 27th in Jackson Center Ohio, we will start our evening of Growing Community Faith by sowing into the lives of those with food insecurities by pack meals with Kids Coalition Against Hunger. KCAH is a humanitarian food relief organization that with the help of volunteers sends food packets to local community food banks, 30 countries and disaster relief efforts. &nbsp;Please sign up for one of the two shifts to help us package 25,000 meals. Each meal that we produce cost .42 cents. You can help us by making a contribution and or signing up to pack food.&nbsp;(Shift 1) &nbsp; 3:30pm to 4:45pm(Shift 2) 5 pm to 6:15 pmWe will be at the Jackson Center Fire Hall. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check in. Join us as we come together to pack 25,000 meals for people in need! Your time can make a real difference.

Growing Community in Faith Meal Packing Registration

Wood County 4-H has partnered with KCAH for a second year to bring a meal packing event to the Wood County Fairgrounds. Please find a shift&nbsp;below that would suit you. We are seeking volunteers to set-up Kids Coalition Against Hunger packing event and pack meals. &nbsp;1. Set-up crew 1pm -1:30pm&nbsp;some heavy lifting required&nbsp; &nbsp;2. Meal packer shift&nbsp;1:30pm - 2:30pm scooping weighing and sealing bags (100 volunteers &ndash; age 5-9 must be accompanied by an adult, teens, adults)&nbsp;3.&nbsp;Meal packers shift 2:30pm - 3: 30pm scooping weighing and sealing bags (100 volunteers &ndash; age 5-9 must be accompanied by an adult, teens, adults)Encouraging families to participate together (to include multi-generational.) Pack meals with Oxford Presbyterian Church and Kids Coalition Against Hunger to help families facing food insecurity, here and abroad. Each station measures, fills, and seals 390-gram packets designed to feed six adults or twelve children. Volunteers of all ages work side by side to support our shared mission of providing nutritious, easy-to-prepare meals&mdash;rich in protein, vegetables, and essential vitamins&mdash;for those who need them most. Your time at this event helps put real food on real tables.

The annual event is scheduled for November 7, 2025. A donation of $42 will supply 100 meals, while $420 will fund 1000 meals.
