S.S. LMES SPIRIT FLAGSShow your LMES spirit and let your student’s special moment fly!The LMES PTO is excited to offer families the opportunity to decorate a flag to fly on the S.S. LMES boat in front of the school. Celebrate a birthday, half-birthday, special occasion, team, LMES pride, or simply your amazing student!PRICE: $30 per flagDISPLAY: 7 flags each weekRESERVATIONS: First come, first reservedHow It Works• Families may reserve one flag per student per school year, unless the PTO announces otherwise.• Your blank flag is included in the $30 cost and will be sent home about two weeks before your assigned week, most likely in your student's Thursday folder.• Decorate your flag at home and return it to LMES in its labeled plastic bag no later than the Thursday before your flag week begins.• LMES safety patrol will hang and remove the flags.• Flags will fly horizontally on the S.S. LMES from approximately 7:00 a.m. Monday until approximately 7:00 a.m. the following Monday. Flag placement is random.• Flags will be returned to students after their display week.Decorating Your FlagPlease write your child’s first and last name somewhere on the flag. Families provide their own decorating supplies. Students or adults may decorate the flag, and non-affiliated painters may be hired.Recommended materials: acrylic paint, paint pens/markers, iron-ons, HTV vinyl, or stitching. We recommend decorating one side only. The PTO will spray flags with acrylic sealer the Friday before display.Photos & Important RemindersYou are welcome to take photos with your flag while it is flying, including over the weekend. Please do not step on the shells or rocks surrounding the boat or inside the boat. All designs must comply with District 5 guidelines; the LMES PTO reserves the right to remove inappropriate content.Together we REALLY do sail!
