Help Put the Chamber on the Trail
The Lanesboro Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking 12 Trail Supporter Sponsors at $150 each to help fund the purchase of a Chamber-owned e-bike for trail promotion, visitor information, and timely photo/video updates from the Root River Trail.During the recent heavy rainfall around the July 4th weekend, the Root River Trail quickly became one of the top visitor questions facing our community. Thanks to Little River General Store, the Chamber was able to borrow an e-bike and get out on the trail to share timely, visitor-facing updates through photos and videos on social media. That experience reinforced how useful a Chamber-owned e-bike would be for our ongoing tourism promotion and visitor information efforts. An e-bike would allow the Chamber to travel farther along the trail beyond Lanesboro and Whalan, capture more photo and video content, promote trail-related experiences, and share general observations when visitors are looking for timely information (without taking up inventory from a local business). The Chamber will continue to direct visitors to official DNR guidance for closures, safety advisories and trail management decisions.Businesses that become Trail Supporter Sponsors will have their logos (linked to their website) added to the Root River Trail page on Lanesboro.com in recognition of their support for the Chamber’s trail promotion and visitor information efforts.Any funds raised beyond the cost of the e-bike will be reserved for future Chamber outdoor recreation promotion efforts.Tax note: The Lanesboro Area Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)(6) organization. This sponsorship is not a charitable donation and is not deductible as a charitable contribution. It may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Please consult your tax professional for guidance specific to your business.
