Share your time and skills with Theatre by the Bay to help bring professional live theatre to Barrie. Volunteers support everything from front-of-house to special events, making our productions welcoming and accessible for audiences. 🎭By signing up, you’ll join a collaborative community that mentors emerging artists, produces incredible professional shows, supports youth programming, and strengthens local arts initiatives. Roles we are currently seeking are:Street Team and Community AmbassadorsRepresent Theatre by the Bay at community events, markets and festivals. Distribute flyers, put up posters with permission, and help visitors learn about our productions and programmes.Ushers and Front-of-House VolunteersWelcome guests, distribute programmes, help audiences find their seats and support a friendly, welcoming theatre experience.Special Events and HospitalityAssist with guest check-in, hospitality, event setup, takedown and general event support.Business Development VolunteersSupport Theatre by the Bay by assisting in business development through our charitable bingo shifts. These volunteer shifts help generate income for our productions and programmes. Role-specific training is provided, and volunteers must meet the programme’s eligibility requirements.Administrative and Behind-the-Scenes SupportHelp with administrative tasks, volunteer coordination, promotional materials and production logistics, depending on your interests and experience.Student Community Involvement HoursAge-appropriate, supervised street team and event opportunities are available for students. We can document completed volunteer hours; students should confirm eligibility with their school before starting.Tell us how you’d like to help.
