Yoga at the Ranch is a calming outdoor mindfulness experience designed to help children, teens, seniors and adults slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves through the gentle presence of animals and nature. Join Le Petit Ranch and local yoga teacher Joe James for peaceful sessions among our miniature horses and donkeys in the beautiful setting of the ranch. These gatherings focus on grounding, emotional wellbeing, mindfulness, and connection rather than physical performance or difficult poses. Participants will enjoy gentle guided mindfulness exercises, quiet observation of the animals, breathing activities, and relaxing moments surrounded by the calming energy of the herd. ✨ Open to all ages and abilities✨ No yoga experience needed✨ A welcoming, judgment-free environment✨ Animal-assisted mindfulness in nature Spaces are limited. Kick off the Art &amp; Animals Summer Series collaboration between Canaan Kids Art Space and Le Petit Ranch with an immersive outdoor Art Walk at Le Petit Ranch!&nbsp; Children will explore creative stations set up throughout the ranch, in the paddocks, stalls, chicken run, and sheep shed, while meeting the animals and creating their own canvases and nature-inspired artwork.&nbsp; This hands-on experience blends sensory play, storytelling, creativity, and animal connection in a playful and welcoming farm environment. During the second session of the series, participants will gather at Kids Canaan Art Space to work together on a large collaborative wooden mural inspired by the animals of Le Petit Ranch. Children will explore colors, textures, observation, and teamwork while contributing to a meaningful community art piece that will later be permanently displayed at the ranch.&nbsp; Celebrate the final day of the Art &amp; Animals Summer Series of Canaan Kids ArtSpace and Le Petit Ranch with a joyful outdoor art gallery at Le Petit Ranch! Family Wellness Retreat

Join us at Le Petit Ranch on Sunday, September 13, from 2:00&ndash;4:00 PM for a special inclusive family event created in collaboration with Hillary Baack, a Deaf educator and American Sign Language teacher. This welcoming two-hour ranch experience is designed for families who use ASL for Deaf and nonverbal children, as well as hearing families who would like to learn ASL and become more inclusive. Through animal-assisted education and hands-on ASL activities, families will learn how to introduce themselves and the animals, practice simple signs together, enjoy songs and storytime in ASL, and connect with the ranch animals in a thoughtful, sensorial and meaningful way. Our goal is to create a space where children and families can communicate, learn from one another, and feel included&mdash;while discovering how animals can support connection beyond spoken language. Signs, Stories & Animals: An Inclusive ASL Experience at Le Petit Ranch

Theatre &amp; Music at the RanchJoin Le Petit Ranch for a joyful and inclusive four-week after-school series combining theatre, music, storytelling, movement, creativity, and meaningful interactions with animals.&nbsp; Children in Grades 1&ndash;6 will work together to create an original performance inspired by the animals of Le Petit Ranch. Through theatre games, singing, rhythm, imaginative play, storytelling, character development, animal education, and art, participants will discover many different ways to express themselves and contribute. Children may choose to act, sing, move, narrate, create scenery, work with props, develop characters, help shape the story, or interact respectfully with the animals.&nbsp; The program is open to children of all abilities, and everyone will be encouraged to participate according to their interests, strengths, and comfort level. The series will support:💛 Confidence and self-expression 💛 Creativity and imagination 💛 Literacy, communication, and storytelling 💛 Emotional awareness and self-regulation 💛 Cooperation, flexible thinking, and problem-solving 💛 Empathy and respectful animal interaction 💛 A sense of belonging and accomplishment The animals will participate gently and respectfully. Their comfort, consent, and wellbeing will remain central throughout the program. You&rsquo;ll learn about different breeds, colors, and their wool, and discover the journey from sheep to fiber while meeting and observing the animals up close. Then, you&rsquo;ll use wool from the sheep you&rsquo;ve met to create your own woolly creature to take home. Join us at the Ranch, You&rsquo;ll learn about horse behavior and horsemanship, practice grooming, and lead horses through simple obstacles. Then, you&rsquo;ll experiment with gesture drawing and expressive mark-making to capture the movement and personality of the horses you meet. Using paint, drawing materials, and fibers, you&rsquo;ll transform your observations into colorful mixed-media artworks inspired by the horses and their environment.
