Destination: Citizenship in ActionAs we welcome the heat of a Florida summer, the temperature will not be the only thing rising. We continue to witness the infringement and deprivation of rights across our minority communities &mdash; the suppression and erosion of legal protections that generations fought to establish. As the campaign of hostility toward our communities grows, so does the tension. But so does our resolve. Our 2026 Florida State Convention is structured to inform, inspire, and challenge us to redefine and reimagine what it means to be a citizen. We believe that in the context of community responsibility, citizenship is an active practice &mdash; not a passive status. It goes beyond legal designation to represent an individual&#39;s commitment to the well-being of the collective. It means participating in local initiatives, advocating for the vulnerable, and balancing personal freedoms with our duties to one another. Even our community members without legal status stand fully as active citizens. Community citizenship is defined by actions and relationships, not paperwork. Anyone who contributes to the collective well-being is practicing citizenship &mdash; and that practice belongs to all of us. We are asking you to join us. Come prepared to organize, educate, and advocate. Come ready to be part of the change our communities deserve. LULAC FLORIDA STATE CONVENTION 2026

LULAC Florida invites you to join us in Orlando this July 24th and 25th for our 2026 State Convention &mdash; Destination: Citizenship in Action. Bringing together community members, advocates, students, nonprofit leaders, and allies, this bilingual convention will unite 75 to 150 participants around our core themes of civic engagement, community empowerment, civil rights, education, and collective resilience. For many years, LULAC Florida has understood the power of education and community organizing, and today &mdash; as new leaders rise across our state to shape the narrative locally and nationally &mdash; the time has come to energize, unite, and build a community of engaged and resilient citizens. Your sponsorship makes that possible. Partners who invest in this convention gain visibility among a values-aligned Latino audience, build trust and lasting relationships with grassroots leaders and organizations, and demonstrate a tangible commitment to community empowerment and social responsibility.
