Mahoning Valley Historical Society

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society preserves and shares the rich history of the Mahoning Valley through engaging exhibits, educational programs, and community events, fostering a deeper understanding of our heritage and its impact on the present.

🎉This much-anticipated walking tour will explore the stories of the famous and not-so-famous Mahoning Valley residents interred there, as well as fascinating facts around the design, traditions, and history of cemeteries. Each grouping will be limited to 20 participants. Each grouping should expect their tour to last 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Tours begin and finish at Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel (344 Oak Hill Ave.) Parking will be in the cemetery&rsquo;s lots and along the roadways as directed by signage or event staff. All events will go on rain or shine. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Registration and payment for tour times will ONLY be available through the tour time buttons on this page. Once a tour slot has filled up, you will be directed to select another time. The 18th annual Memories of Christmas Past returns November 14 through December 31, featuring White Christmas: The Exhibition, with rare original costumes and artifacts connected to White Christmas, Holiday Inn, and the Irving Berlin legacy. And that&rsquo;s only part of the experience. The beloved Crystal Tree returns 19th Century Christmas Nativities From Around the World Jack Frost Plus more throughout the museum One ticket.
