Making Her Mark is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to amplifying women’s creative voices through mentorship, funding, and holistic support, to never doubt the value of their creative expression and to lead meaningful change in their communities.

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. Join Baltimore songwriter, Ruut, for an intimate evening of original songs and stories, shared at the piano at beautiful ThorpeWood Lodge. The show celebrates a Special Edition of Ruut&#39;s 2010 release, Steinway Sessions, remastered and reissued through Meridian/ECR. Surrounded by silent auction art of local women artists, Ruut shares the stage with Danah Denice.&nbsp; All proceeds go to benefit Making Her Mark&rsquo;s 2026 programming.Doors open at 6:30. Space is limited.&nbsp; MORE ABOUT RUUT:The Baltimore Sun describes Ruut as an artist possessing, &ldquo;a pure voice that doesn&rsquo;t rely on histrionics.&rdquo; Now, the Finnish-born Baltimore native has signed with Meridian (ECR Music Group) for a series of remastered special-edition reissues in advance of her forthcoming new record, Motherland, out later this year. The first of these reissues is Ruut&rsquo;s acclaimed Steinway Sessions, a striking collection of impeccable, solo performances by the artist. Painstakingly remastered by producer and ECR President Blake Morgan, this collection provides the perfect introduction to those who are just discovering Ruut&rsquo;s artistry now&mdash;and for those who have cherished this record previously and in its original form, this special edition provides the revelatory, detailed re-boot this album has always deserved. In 2026, Ruut tours as Finlandia Foundation&#39;s Performer of the Year.&nbsp;
