Massachusetts ABOTA promotes civics education, preserves the Seventh Amendment, and fosters ethical legal practices through engaging programs like the James Otis Lecture, which connects students with legal professionals to discuss constitutional issues.

The James Otis Lecture was created specifically for high school students to hear from highly accomplished women and men in fields relating to law and legal history. This year, we are focusing on Article III of the US Constitution ; our panelists will address a crucial question: &ldquo;The Least Dangerous Branch: Would the Framers Recognize our Current Federal Court System?&rdquo;&nbsp; Hosted by Massachusetts ABOTA, this program supports our missions to promote civics education, preserve the Seventh Amendment, and foster the ethical practice of law.

The Massachusetts Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates is thrilled to honor William Dailey Jr. with the 2026 Robert Morris, Sr. Award for Courage in Litigation. This annual awarded is given in recognition of unusual courage and uncommon courtesy in civil litigation.
