OR you can choose to give back by donating the puppy to:○ a disabled veteran○ special needs child○ first responder family○ civil servant in needJill Marshall of Blue Ridge German Shepherds and Labrador Retrievers is generously offering two pups. You will be supporting our mission and you can further help someone in need. Each ticket you purchase directly contributes to our efforts in making a meaningful impact in our community. 🎟️About the Puppies and their Training! Two AKC puppies will be selected for the raffle—one German Shepherd puppy from Blue Ridge Lane German Shepherds and one Labrador Retriever puppy from Blue Ridge Lane Labradors. The raffle puppies will be approximately 8–12 weeks old. Because we want to select puppies with the very best temperaments and suitability as family and service companions, the specific puppies, including their exact age and sex, will be determined approximately two weeks prior to the live raffle drawing. This allows us to evaluate each puppy’s personality, temperament, confidence, trainability and overall potential before making our final selections. The puppies are raised as part of their family and training program, with an emphasis on developing confident, well-socialized and highly trainable family and service companions. Depending upon their exact age at the time of the raffle, training may include:• Beginning house and crate training• Leash introduction and manners• Basic commands including sit, down, come, wait and place• Age-appropriate off-leash recall work• Socialization with children, adults and other dogs• Exposure to cats, horses and everyday farm life• Car rides and travel• Exposure to stores, public environments and a variety of sights, sounds and surfaces• Beginning manners and impulse-control work• Individual temperament evaluation and preparation for a smooth transition into their new homeAll training will be age-appropriate and tailored to each individual puppy, whether that puppy ultimately becomes a wonderful family companion or continues on toward more advanced service-dog training.Come Meet the Puppies!Once the two raffle puppies have been selected, we will host a special Meet & Greet at the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad, giving everyone an opportunity to meet these special puppies in person before the drawing. The puppies will also be available to meet in person at the 2026 Urbanna Oyster Festival, where the winners will be announced during the festival. You need not be present to win and winners will be notified by email and phone if not in attendance. And remember—you do not have to personally want or need a puppy to participate. If you purchase a winning ticket but do not wish to take the puppy yourself, the puppy can be donated in your honor to a disabled individual in need who otherwise could not afford one. Most importantly, 100% of the raffle proceeds will benefit the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad.Thank you for your support. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant difference. ✨ A huge thank you to Clinton and Jill!Blue Ridge Lane German ShepherdsBlue Ridge Lane Labrador RetrieversClinton Kelley & Jill Marshallwww.blueridgelanegermanshepherds.comhttp://www.blueridgelanelsbradors.com/
