Thank you in advance for your support of the Morris Park Singers and helping our ever-growing choir continue to thrive!! Notes from Concert:Being told that you have your "head in clouds" is often not a positive thing. And while being present in your life is important, we are here to remind our singers and our audience that daydreaming is not a bad thing. Children are often known for their imaginative look on life. They have no problem dreaming about what their life could be, and there is no limit to what they believe they can do. As adults, we often forget about this. We are still allowed to dream about what our life could have been, and certainly what it could be. We don't have to limit ourselves or visions we have for our lives. So, tilt your head back, look up into the sky, and see what shapes you can find. Tap into that childlike imagination and daydreaming, and eventually, you won't just see clouds anymore. Through our music, follow our "narrator" on their journey from thinking about the regrets in their life to daydreaming about what it still could become.

Thank you in advance for your support of the Morris Park Singers and helping our choir continue to thrive!! Sincerely,Danny Dahlquist-JohnsonFounder & Artistic Director NOTES ABOUT THE CONCERT:Knowing that, in our current fiscal year, this concert was going to be paired with our milestone 10th concert season, I wanted to do a concert more centered around music. However, I didn't just want to do another choir concert filled with music about singing. Then, I thought about one of my personal favorite vocal warmups: "I sing because I love to make sound." So, instead of having a concert about singing or music, I refocused it to a concert about "sound". Afterall, you can't have music without sound. We are constantly surrounded by sound, much of which we never even notice. Everyone has sounds that relax them. Everyone has sounds that cause them to wince. Everyone has sounds that bring back certain memories. Sound has the potential to induce the full gamut of emotional responses. And the thing that I love most about choral music is that everyone's "sound" is different. Their inspiration because their "sound" in a specific song is different. The combination of those unique sounds has the potential to make absolute magic. Come to our concerts this season to hear the magic happen!!
