Dear Members and Friends of Murphy Asbury African Methodist Episcopal Church, Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As we stand at the threshold of a new year and prepare our hearts for what God desires to do in and through Murphy Asbury AME Church in&nbsp;2026, I prayerfully invite you to participate in a sacred act of worship&mdash;First Fruit Giving.On&nbsp;Sunday, February 15, 2026, we will celebrate&nbsp;First Fruit Sunday, and honor the legacy of our Founder, Bishop Richard Allen. We are asking all members and friends of the ministry to sow a&nbsp;First Fruit seed of $206&nbsp;as an expression of faith, gratitude, and expectancy for the year ahead.The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 16:2:&ldquo;Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops.&rdquo;First Fruit giving is not about obligation&mdash;it is about&nbsp;honor. It is our way of declaring that&nbsp;God comes first, not last. When we give our first, we trust God with the rest.Jesus Himself teaches in Luke 6:38&ldquo;Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.&rdquo;As we sow into God&rsquo;s house at the beginning of the year, we do so believing that God will release:&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Spiritual growth&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Financial provision&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Strength for families&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Peace in our minds&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;And fruit that remainsThe Apostle Paul further encourages us in 2 Corinthians 9:7&ldquo;Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give&hellip; for God loves a cheerful giver.&rdquo;Whether you are able to sow the full&nbsp;$206, a portion, or another seed as the Lord leads, know that your gift&mdash;given in faith&mdash;is meaningful and powerful.First Fruit Sunday is a moment for us to declare:&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;God, we trust You&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;God, we honor You&nbsp; &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;God, we believe You for greater in 2026I encourage you to pray, prepare, and participate with expectation, believing that&nbsp;what we place in God&rsquo;s hands, He multiplies for His glory and our good.
