My Happy Place Animal Sanctuary

My Happy Place Animal Sanctuary provides a safe haven for abandoned and abused animals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation while fostering a compassionate community dedicated to animal welfare.

So many of us know the quiet tug of a gut feeling — the hesitation before saying yes, the pull toward a decision we can't quite explain — and yet we talk ourselves out of listening to it. Over time, that disconnect from our own inner voice can leave us feeling unmoored, unsure of what we actually want or need. Horses, by nature, are deeply intuitive — they live fully in the present and respond to what's real, not what's performed. In their calm, honest presence, we're invited to soften the noise of overthinking and remember what it feels like to trust ourselves again. Through a guided meditation grounded in equine-facilitated, trauma-informed practice, we'll gently reconnect with that inner knowing, supported by the grounding energy of the sanctuary's horses. Sunday, October 4 | 6:00–7:00 PM 44 Dongan Ln, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 Bring your own yoga mat or chair Suggested donation $40 — give what you can, all proceeds benefit the animals at My Happy Place****PLEASE NOTE**** WHEN COMPLETING THE CHECKOUT PROCESS, IN THE SUMMARY, YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO CHANGE THE DEFAULT 17% PLATFORM FEE TO ZERO BY USING THE DROP-DOWN MENU. Grief doesn't only come from losing someone we love — though it certainly can. It also shows up in the quieter losses we don't always name: a job that ended before we were ready, a relationship which shifted, a path we didn't take, or perhaps a place in our life's journey we thought we would have reached by now. Grief has a way of resurfacing long after we think we've moved past it — in a song, an empty chair, or in a quiet moment when we least expect it. We often carry it silently, unsure of where it's welcome or how to let it move through us. Horses have a remarkable way of holding space for exactly that. They don't rush us, judge us, or ask us to explain — they simply witness, offering a rare kind of stillness where our feelings are allowed to surface and soften. Through a guided meditation grounded in equine-facilitated, trauma-informed practice, we'll gently move through grief together, in whatever form it takes, supported by the quiet, steady presence of the Sanctuary's horses. Friday, October 30 6:00–7:00 PM 44 Dongan Ln, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 Bring your own yoga mat or chair Suggested donation $40 — give what you can, all proceeds benefit the animals at My Happy Place Together, we’ll slow down, breathe, and spend time with horses who’ve known their own uncertainty and recovery. In their calm presence, you’re invited to notice what softens, what stays, and what gently releases. **Please note** When completing the registration process, in the summary section, you have the option of changing the default platform fee of 17% to '0' by using the drop-down menu.
