LXCL:Major General William J Donovan Post 46 (501(c)(19), supports the American Legion Child Well-being Foundation, focusing on enhancing the welfare of children and youth through programs that address their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs.

2025 Department of DC National Commander's Luncheon

Post 46 Day at the Nationals. NOTE: If you want to sponsor a South East Vets Center Veteran Ticket, please do so as an additional donation. Please feel free to give any amount.  Our Post Day will be July 20th, with a game start time of 6:45. For anyone who wants to pregame, we will meet at the Budweiser Brew House starting at 5:45. This gathering is a family-friendly event, and it is 100% encouraged to bring spouses, kids, and friends. The cost of the tickets are $45. Wearing American Legion shirts is highly encouraged. We are also collaborating with Post 20 and other members from posts in the District of Columbia.

The Major General William J Donovan American Legion Post 46 and our partners provide on-site gifts of new socks, shoes or boots. This year we aim to support 450 or more Veterans. The 2026 event will take place on November 7, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We look forward to making a positive impact in our community and helping those in need. We invite you to support our Veterans by making donations so that Post 46 can purchase new socks, shoes or boots (mens size 9-14 or women size 8.1/2-12) and ship them directly to the DC VA Center. We do not buy dress shoes because we have learned that these types of shoes do not last. With you help can make a big difference by providing sturdy boots and shoes to homeless and at-risk Veterans. If you prefer to volunteer your time, please reach out to us. Every contribution counts, no matter how small, and together we can show our appreciation to those who have honorably served our country. Let&rsquo;s come together to support our heroes and ensure they have what they need to stay warm and comfortable. Thank you for your time and support.
