National Mormon Trails Association

The National Mormon Trails Association preserves and promotes the history of the Mormon Pioneer experience, fostering education and appreciation through programs, events, trail excursions and resources that connect communities to their heritage.

National Mormon Trails Association Invites you to Join their entry in the Days of 47 parade.&nbsp; Persons must be 14 or older both men and women are invited. Arrive at 8:00 AM at the corner of South Temple and State Street.&nbsp;Please dress in Pioneer clothing. No bright colored tennis shoes. You will be responsible for your own transportation back from Liberty Park at the conclusion of the parade.&nbsp; We would like the men to participate as part of the Mormon Battalion. &nbsp;Please bring a pick or shovel as we are going to highlight the Mormon Battalion as a road building crew as well. &nbsp;We do have Battalion accouterments for first come, first served. &nbsp; For More information or to reserve a costume for the men, call Laura Anderson 801-898-9085 or Greg Christopherson 714-318-6644

We Invite you to Join Us for a FREE Public Program At&nbsp;the Church History Museum&nbsp; As part of our Utah Humanities Council&rsquo;s &ldquo;New Tales for Old Trails&rdquo; Oral History Grant, we interviewed 28 historians, researchers, and trail experts who study the Pioneer experience from 1846-1868 and Utah&rsquo;s early history . A distinguished panel of interviewees will share new insights, resources, and unique ways to explore the Pioneer Story you won&rsquo;t want to miss. &nbsp;Join us March 19, 2026 &nbsp;6pm MDT. Attend in person to enjoy the full experience. &nbsp;Meet others with similar interests, participate in the Q&amp;A and be eligible for the 2-hour oral history recording. &nbsp;Bring your Questions. &nbsp;This is an interactive program where you will meet the experts and can ask questions!
