Nayas Refuge

LXCL:Nayas Refuge is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) women led initiative that fosters sanctuary space between community elders and youth through land based initiatives, arts, and education. We fiscally sponsor New Mexico Agrarian Commons. NMAC empowers historically marginalized farmers by reclaiming land for community stewardship. Through regenerative agriculture, they promote food sovereignty, ecological health, and reproductive justice, ensuring a sustainable future for all.

🌱 Lopez Family Legacy: From Fallow Fields to Communal Farm
Help us reclaim a piece of agricultural history to build a regenerative future rooted in care for both soil and community. For over five generations, the Lopez family has tended the land in the San Ysidro Church community of Doña Ana County, New Mexico—growing food, nurturing soil, and cultivating connection. Now, we’re entering a new chapter: protecting these remaining 6 acres through Lopez Legacy Farms, the first project of the New Mexico Agrarian Commons. Your contribution supports a community-led effort to return farmland to collective stewardship—ensuring long-term, affordable access to land for historically marginalized farmers and land stewards. Together, we’re restoring the soil with regenerative organic practices, growing vegetables, medicinal herbs, and heirloom seeds, and creating space for rest, teaching, and healing for birthworkers and families. This land will serve as a living embodiment of reproductive justice, food sovereignty, and ecological regeneration—a place where ancestral memory meets future possibility. Every dollar brings us closer to securing these acres in the Commons, where they will remain a shared place of nourishment for generations to come. 🌾 Give today. Cultivate tomorrow. Your generosity helps seed the future of community-owned, regenerative agriculture in southern New Mexico. Your gift in honor of Dream Mullick supports Nayas Refuge, a 25‑acre sanctuary rooted in rematriation, decolonization, and the decommodification of land. Together, we tend a place where community elders, youth, and artists learn from one another and from the land itself. Your contribution nurtures: restorative land preservation honoring White Painted Woman, land‑based arts and education, traditional and cultural knowledge exchange, and creative refuge for storytellers and makers. Thank you for helping cultivate a culture of giving in community with the land and each other.
