Dear Mah Jongg Enthusiasts,You&rsquo;ve asked, What comes next after our Intro to Mah Jongg Course? Our answer, The Mah Jongg Pivot Class -- scheduled for Tuesday, August 18th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. or Tuesday, September 8th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Newtown Township Community Room. This interactive class will help you decipher the NMJL card faster, find your pivots sooner, and play Mah Jongg with more confidence. We will spend most of our time identifying and building natural pivot pairs within and across neighborhoods. &nbsp;By linking common tile patterns across the card sections, we will discern which auxiliary tiles to save. The cost is $20 &ndash; the price of a Mah Jongg Pivot Kit. The Kit includes 3 purple line identifier stickers and a black and white sticker with all the natural pivot pairs across neighborhoods. &nbsp;You will receive your kit in class. If you have already purchased one, the class will be free to you. When you register, indicate you have purchased one already. Bring your card with its purple stickers to class for entry. &nbsp;You will then receive the updated white sticker.

Spring 2026 Mah Jong All Day

Looking for a fun new challenge to welcome the spring season? Join our Introduction to American Mah Jongg class with Instructor Bernie Shrager and discover the excitement of this timeless game! This beginner-friendly class will cover the basics of American Mah Jongg, helping you:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="box-sizing:inherit;" style="box-sizing:inherit;">Identify and understand the Mah Jongg tiles.</li><li fr-original-style="box-sizing:inherit;" style="box-sizing:inherit;">Decode and use the National Mah Jongg League card.</li><li fr-original-style="box-sizing:inherit;" style="box-sizing:inherit;">Play a full game confidently.</li></ul>📅 When: Friday afternoons, 1-3 PM running from April 17 - May 8 &nbsp; -&nbsp;Students must commit to attending all four weeks. 👥&nbsp;Class Size: Limited to 20 participants for a personalized learning experience. 💵 Cost:&nbsp;$25 per person which includes an Official Standard Hand and Rules Card from the National Mah Jongg League, Inc. 2026 Mah Jongg Card Review - Waitlist Joining

Let&#39;s review the new 2026 card for the top 10 easiest hands, analysis of patterns, unusual hands, fixed versus flexible hands, and comparisons to the 2025 card.&nbsp;This session will be in place of the usual Newbie Tuesday class, and is a fundraiser for new tables, mats, sets and replacement racks.

Fall 2025 Mah Jong All Day

Create your own miniature ecosystem in this hands-on terrarium workshop led by the experts from A Hermit&#39;s Terrarium. Participants will learn the basics of terrarium design and care while building a beautiful glass terrarium to take home. All materials are included, and no prior experience is necessary. This program is for adults. Registration is required, and space is limited to 15 participants. A $30 materials fee is due when you sign up through this Zeffy page.
