Hollywood Challenge: Send 300 Students To That’s Love! The Dorothy Dandridge Musical
Hi Friends and Family, This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the opportunities like serving on the board of the N’Kenge Foundation whose mission is to educate, mentor, inspire and uplift through the arts by magnifying BIPOC stories in educational initiatives as well as community engagement programs focused on mental health and financial literacy by healing through the arts. To work on a project that can have an impact on so many lives is truly a blessing and something I am thankful for this holiday season. I’m asking friends and family to make a tax-deductible gift to the N’Kenge foundation to help bring 300 students in local NY/NJ schools see the new musical at no cost to them. Tickets are only $25 for school groups, and with that they receive the following: - In School Preview & Discussion through the Beyond The Spotlight program that includes music performances, a look at Dorothy’s mental health and financial struggles and how to overcome these challenges. - Educational Study guide to prepare them on some historic figures like Dr. King, Harry Belafonte and of course Dorothy Dandridge. - Post show Q&A with the cast and crew.So I ask this holiday season, if you can be so kind and help me send 300 kids to see That’s Love! The Dorothy Dandridge Musical, you will be helping me impact the lives of so many youth. Afterall, they are our future of the entertainment industry. So please, consider donating to the N’Kenge Foundation today!🎭 Gratefully, N’Kenge Foundation Board Members
