The Noblesville Diversity Coalition Niedermeyer Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior of Noblesville High School who has exemplified the core values of NDC and the leadership qualities of Dr. Beth Niedermeyer: humility, courage, respect, and collaboration.Several years ago, rising levels of division, racial tension, and violence nationally and locally exposed a problem that called for action. In 2018, Dr. Beth Niedermeyer brought a group of Noblesville residents, leaders in the faith and business communities, and organizations to identify and address underlying issues contributing to the widening divide, tension, and inequity. This group grew into the Noblesville Diversity Coalition, with a mission to educate, celebrate, challenge, and inspire Noblesville to be a welcoming and inclusive community that embraces all cultures and identities.We want to thank Dr. Niedermeyer for having the vision, courage, and determination to identify a need and take collaborative action. We know there is more work to be done. We believe this scholarship will acknowledge the work of current and future generations toward embracing all cultures and identities.The NDC Niedermeyer Scholarship honors Dr. Niedermeyer and carries her legacy forward. This $ 1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a student who has been a voice for change and has contributed to making Noblesville a more welcoming and inclusive community.Thank you, Dr. Niedermeyer, for what you do, being who you are, and helping to make our community better in so many ways.
